AI site clean-up
You built something. Let's make it work.
AI tools can get a website up in an afternoon. Getting it to work properly, every time, on every phone, is the hard part. If yours is stuck, broken or one change away from falling over, we can help.
First: you haven't done anything wrong.
Building with AI was a sensible thing to try. It's quick, it's affordable, and a first version often gets surprisingly far. What it doesn't do is tell you what it skipped. AI writes code that looks finished, so the problems tend to show up later: when a customer fills in a form, opens the site on their phone or tries to pay.
None of that is unusual. The same handful of problems turns up in almost every AI-built site we see, which is why we can usually find and fix them quickly.
Sound familiar?
The form says “sent”, but nothing arrives
Usually: The form was never connected to a real email service, or it only worked inside the preview.
It looks fine on a laptop and falls apart on a phone
Usually: The layout was generated one screen at a time and never tested on a small screen.
Fixing one thing breaks something else
Usually: Each prompt patched the code without seeing all of it, so fixes end up stacked on top of fixes.
It works in the builder but won't go live
Usually: Missing settings, keys in the wrong place, or a setup that only runs inside the tool you built it with.
Logins, payments or saved data act strangely
Usually: Shortcuts in how data is stored and who can see it. Worth checking early, because this is also where security problems hide.
The AI keeps going round in circles
Usually: Past a certain size, the tool can't keep the whole project in view. That's a limit of the tool, not of you.
Things that are completely normal
If any of these happened along the way, you're in good company:
- Accepting every change the AI suggested, because there was no way to tell which ones were wrong
- Pasting passwords or API keys into the chat or the code. We'll move them somewhere safe and help you replace them
- Starting over a few times and ending up with pieces of every attempt
- Not having a copy of the version that last worked
- Not being sure where your code actually lives
None of it is a problem for us. Tell us what you've got and we'll take it from there.
How we help
1. Code review
We read the code, test the site on real phones and browsers, and list every problem in plain language, most serious first. You get a fixed, written quote for the fix. Usually 2–3 business days.
2. The fix
We fix what's broken, tidy the code so the next change doesn't undo it, and secure anything that handles customer details. Nothing outside the quote happens without your OK.
3. Live, and staying live
We put the site on proper hosting, check it on phones and browsers, and hand the code over to you. If you'd like, a care plan keeps it healthy from there.
What it costs
Every clean-up is quoted, because every site is different. These are honest ranges from the work we do. Most clean-ups land between R2,500 and R9,000.
| Work | ZAR | USD | Typically covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Code review & fix plan | R1,500 fixed | $99 | Credited in full to the fix if you go ahead |
| Small fix | R2,500 – R4,500 | $149 – $279 | A 1–3 page site with a handful of problems |
| Standard clean-up | R5,000 – R9,000 | $299 – $599 | A business site of up to about 5 pages, fixed and ready to launch |
| Apps and data | From R12,000 | From $749 | Logins, payments, databases or dashboards. Quoted after the review |
Our promise:a clean-up should never cost more than building the same site fresh. If it would, we'll say so in the review and quote a rebuild instead. Business sites start at R9,000.
You get a fixed, written quote before any fix starts, so the number won't move. Anything you add later is R450 an hour, billed in half-hour blocks, and quoted first.
Prices are in rand and exclude VAT where applicable. USD prices apply to clients outside South Africa.
Questions people ask us
Will you judge how it was built?
No. We've seen it all, and our job is to fix it, not grade it. You tried something new to get your business online, and that's worth something.
What if it's beyond saving?
We'll tell you in the review, before you spend anything more. Sometimes the best fix is a clean rebuild that keeps your content, your design ideas and everything you learned along the way.
Can I keep using the AI tool afterwards?
Yes. We'll leave a short note on how the site fits together, so you and the AI can make changes more safely. If something breaks again, a care plan covers it.
Should I send you my passwords?
Not by email or in the form, please. If we work together, we'll give you a secure way to share access.
Send us what you've got.
It takes about five minutes, and sending the form is free. We'll reply with a quote for the review, and nothing is charged until you say yes.
