Ours are custom built to industry standards, tested before launch and looked after once they're live. That takes time and care, and it's what you're paying for.
If you need a website this week for R3,000, there are people who can do that well. We're not one of them, and we won't pretend to be.

Once-off websites include their first year of hosting in the build price; that year is also the minimum term. After it, hosting is monthly or a year up front, and paying yearly saves you money. Every project includes a free .co.za domain for South African clients, and its yearly renewal is part of your hosting. For clients outside South Africa, a .com domain is charged separately.

How payment works
Preview projects (up to R15,000):nothing upfront. We build your preview, and you pay the quoted price only once you're happy with it. Then we finish and launch the site.
Custom-quoted projects (over R15,000): 40% to begin, 30% at design sign-off, 30% before launch.
Every project launches with hosting, and once-off websites get the first year free. Your site goes live and the code is handed over once the final invoice is settled. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Changes outside a care plan are R450 an hour, billed in half-hour blocks, with a written quote for anything over four hours.
Prices are in rand and exclude VAT where applicable. USD prices apply to clients outside South Africa.

You send products in our CSV template and we import them, included. If we enter products from your photos and notes instead, that's R30 per product. Writing product descriptions is R150 per product. Photography isn't included.
Going over the product limit: the store keeps working. We let you know, and you can move up a package for the price difference at any time.
You pay your payment provider's standard fees directly. Gooltech takes no commission on sales.
Hosting and care
A website is never really finished. Hosting keeps it online; care plans keep it fast, secure and up to date, looked after by the people who built it. We only host sites we've built.

Commerce Managed
For stores that sell every week and want one team running everything online, from the product feeds to the ads.

- 10 hours of work a month, with a 2-hour first response and priority support
- Google Shopping and Meta catalogue campaigns, set up and optimised every month
- Product feeds kept clean, so ads never show out-of-stock items or wrong prices
- Up to 50 product uploads or updates a month
- 2 promotions a month: banner, discount codes and an email to your customers
- 1 conversion improvement a month, such as a faster checkout step or a better product page
- A 30-minute monthly call to review results and plan the next month
It costs less than Commerce Growth and Search & Ads bought separately (R9,000), and one team sees the whole picture. Ad spend is paid directly to Google or Meta and isn't included. We recommend at least R5,000 a month. Work beyond 10 hours is R400 an hour.
- Unused hours roll over for one month. Extra hours are R400 an hour on any care plan.
- Every project launches with hosting. Minimum term: once-off websites, the first year of hosting (included in the build price), then monthly or yearly; care plans on websites, 6 months; admin, app and store plans, 12 months.
- Once-off website hosting can be paid a year up front: R550 (save R50) for Portfolio and One-page sites, R1,000 (save R200) for Business and R1,500 (save R300) for Business Plus. Other plans are billed monthly.
- Care plans on once-off websites cost less in the first year, because hosting is already included: for example, Care Starter is R300 a month in year 1, then R350.
- Each plan includes a fair-use allowance for traffic, storage and users. If your site regularly goes past it, we'll talk to you before anything is billed.
- Leaving is easy: we hand over the code, data and domain. Early hand-over within the minimum term is R1,500 for websites and R3,500 for admin, app and store builds.
Growth plans start at R3,000 a month plus ad spend.
